Currently, I use an Ipad through a dawless configuration for most of my live presentations andrecordings. I have also made music for drama play and art installations. Besides this project, I am currently a live member of Crudo Pimento, a band formed in Murciaby Raúl Frutos and Inma Gómez, whose last album “Pantame” (Everlasting, 2019), recorded in New York and produced by Marco Bucelli (Xenia Rubinos) has been critically acclaimed world wide by critics and media such as Pitchfork, receiving also some awards. Also with Raúl Frutos and with José Joaquín Ríos (La Josephine), I am part of LMO, a full improvisation combo which transforms in its form and parts every time we play live. Wedecide which instruments to bring and how to allocate them in the last moment. Other acts I have been member of are Fiel a Venus or Esa Extraña Sonrisa.

My name is José Luis López. I am a musician and music teacher based in Murcia, Spain. My
current and main project is builtthenburnt, which started as an ambient music venture but
now has been enlarged into more sides of electronic music, taking influences from noise,
industrial music, Techno, and metal, and merging them into the original ambient shape.
The main idea is based on live interpretations, where every live act is almost made from
scratch every time. Music is built and then burnt. My albums and recordings are mostly taken
from interpretations from those live sets, rarely with additions.
