My name is Virginia De Díaz.
In latin Vir means warrior, hero, soldier, figther.
With my eye I do try to find a way to empower our inherent underworld with my images: everything that we not always want to confront but is still present in our daily life.
To disturb the spectator and undermine the concept of beauty with sordid, distorted, sexualized images… These being imprecise, few faces, transmitting mixed sensations.
My photography speaks a physical language, bodies in constant movement that recall the concept of ‘impermanence’, we are ephemeral beings in constant change that fight against the past of time.
